The aim of this project was to explore a personal style of concept art informed by my industrial design background to create speculative biodesign concepts by referencing emergent technology and research, biomimicry and synthetic biology.

In the book DUNE by Frank Herbert, a passage describing the Fremen’s stillsuit gave me the perception of a living suit. I approached the concept with the idea that the Fremen had access to a biotechnology developed in the spirit of the teachings of Pardot Kynes, one in symbiosis with the natural world. 

The suit is thus more then a living suit but more akin to an exo-organ.
